T'ai Chi Chuan |

T'ai Chi Chuan is a relaxing,
non-strenuous and healthy exercise that develops the body and mind. Tai
Chi focuses on balance through the physical coordination of the
muscular, skeletal
and cardiovascular systems. Many health benefits occur from the practice
of Tai Chi Chuan including preventing osteoporosis, rheumatoid
arthritis, poor circulation and cardiovascular problems. |
About the Instructor
Ken Hui
has been a Tai Chi and Chinese Kung Fu instructor
for over 30 years. He is the founder and head instructor of the
Northern Shaolim Kung Fu Association in Los Angeles (1975). The
association is renown throughout Southern California communities
including Pasadena, So. Pasadena, Alhambra, Monterey park, Arcadia,
San Marino, Rowland Heights, West Hollywood, Hacienda Heights,
Walnut, Upland, Claremont, as well as Fontana. Many of Ken's
senior students are currently conducting classes in these cities.
Ken was born in Hong Kong in 1951 and has been in United States
since 1966. He started his learnings at the age of 8 in Hong Kong.
When he moved to the U.S., his first residence was in the City of
Pasadena where he started his first classes and lived for over 12
years. His mission (and that of his Association) is, via the course
of teaching Tai Chi and Kung Fu, to preserve and enhance the
valuable knowledge on physical and mental health passed down through
real experiences in history.
