The Wellness Community-Foothills: The Wellness
Community (TWC) is a national non-profit organization
dedicated to providing free emotional support, education and hope
for people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation
in professionally led support groups, educational workshops and
mind/body programs utilizing the Patient Active Concept, people
affected by cancer can learn vital skills to regain control,
reduce feelings of isolation and restore hope-regardless of the
stage of disease.
The Wellness Community-Foothills (TWC-F) is one of 22 chapters of
TWC and is based in Pasadena, California with programs and
services offered at several locations throughout the San Gabriel
and San Fernando Valleys and in downtown Los Angeles.
We provide a full range of support programs for people with cancer
and their loved ones in a comfortable home-like setting,
completely free of charge. We offer drop-in and on-going support
groups, networking groups for people with specific types of
cancer, educational workshops, exercise activities, stress
management sessions, lectures by experts in the field of oncology,
and social gatherings - all with laughter, joy and hope. For more
