Housing Rights Center
The Housing Rights Center (HRC) was founded in 1968 addressing the challenges of housing discrimination and continues to expand and diversify its services and programs to meet the need and ever changing issue of fair housing. HRC's mission is to actively support and freedom of residence through education and advocacy to the end that all persons have the opportunity to secure the housing they desire and can afford, without regard to their characteristics protected by law. HRC provides programs and services free of charge, including landlord/tenant counseling, advocacy and enforcement, predatory lending information and referrals, and outreach and education. Intervale Senior Services
Since 1986, Intervale Senior Services Program has helped the YWCA of San Gabriel Valley reach out and embrace the aging members of the community with compassion and support. Our affiliation with senior centers all over the San Gabriel Valley and our ability to deliver meals to the homebound allows us to serve nutritiously balanced meals to over 1,500 seniors every day. We provide meals and a variety of other services to qualifying seniors in English, Spanish, or Mandarin Chinese.

Pacific Asia Museum
Pacific Asia Museum is one of only four institutions in the United States specializing in the arts and culture of Asia, and the only museum in the country exclusively dedicated to art from Asia and the Pacific Islands. The museum’s mission is to further cultural awareness and understanding and to bridge cultural boundaries through the arts.
 
Since 1971 the museum has served a broad and expanding audience of students, families, adults, and scholars through its education and outreach programs. Over the last 30 years, the museum has built an impressive collection of over 14,000 works of Asian and Pacific Island art, including significant holdings of Chinese ceramics, Buddhist sculpture, Japanese paintings and drawings, and Chinese jades. Phones for Life
Phones for Life endeavors to improve the quality of life among seniors and others with special needs by meeting their emergency medical access needs through wireless technology. Phones for Life is a national distribution center of wireless access to 9-1-1 and an informational resource center for our members throughout the country.

The organization brings increased quality of life for seniors and their community by providing access to 9-1-1 which provides them with a sense of security and increases their productivity in the community. Rebuilding Together Pasadena
Rebuilding Together is the nation's largest volunteer organization preserving and revitalizing low-income homes and communities. Recipients we serve include the elderly, the disabled, the very low-income and, low-income homes with children. Over the last twelve years, Rebuilding Together Pasadena, formerly Christmas in April, has helped refurbish and rehabilitate more than one hundred and six homes in Pasadena and Altadena with an estimated value of 1.5 million dollars in repairs.  Download a copy of the Homeowner Application and apply as soon as possible.
 
Our efforts allow homeowners to stay in their homes in warmth and safety, so we are recruiting skilled volunteers willing to share their expertise. From carpenters to plumbers, electricians to floor experts, Rebuilding Together Pasadena needs you. Our volunteers learn construction skills at projects, such as painting, wallpaper removal, and landscaping. Download a Volunteer Waiver Form and sign up to help with our next work day. We especially need volunteers with construction skills but can use ALL skill levels so contact us today!
 
The Wellness Community-Foothills
The Wellness Community (TWC) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing free emotional support, education and hope for people with cancer and their loved ones. Through participation in professionally led support groups, educational workshops and mind/body programs utilizing the Patient Active Concept, people affected by cancer can learn vital skills to regain control, reduce feelings of isolation and restore hope-regardless of the stage of disease.

The Wellness Community-Foothills (TWC-F) is one of 22 chapters of TWC and is based in Pasadena, California with programs and services offered at several locations throughout the San Gabriel and San Fernando Valleys and in downtown Los Angeles.

We provide a full range of support programs for people with cancer and their loved ones in a comfortable home-like setting, completely free of charge. We offer drop-in and on-going support groups, networking groups for people with specific types of cancer, educational workshops, exercise activities, stress management sessions, lectures by experts in the field of oncology, and social gatherings - all with laughter, joy and hope. Villa Esperanza Services
Villa Esperanza Services is a nonprofit corporation devoted to the care, education, health and social services of developmentally disabled children, and adults and seniors with disabilities. Villa Esperanza's Adult Day Health Care Center in Pasadena is a community-based day program, which provides medical, therapeutic and social services to adults, 18 and older, and the frail elderly who are living with a physical, mental or developmental challenges. Nutritionally balanced noon meals and snacks, recreational activities designed to stimulate, educate and entertain and transportation to and from the program are only a portion of the comprehensive services available for qualifying adults. Care Management Outreach Collaboration is a professional service designed to help at-risk adults with developmental disabilities and the frail elderly maintain their independence and prevent institutionalization in nursing homes. Care Management also assists the family members of the developmentally disabled. This service is offered at no cost to those throughout the San Gabriel Valley and sections of the San Fernando and Conejo Valleys. To learn more, click here.

Visionaires
