A quick note about PSC Parking
Awhile back we led the weekly e-mail with a note where we addressed the parking situation at the PSC. We are pleased to report to you that the City of Pasadena has approved reconfiguring parking along the North side of Holly Street from the Metro Station to Fair Oaks Ave. The new configuration will be "angled parking" which will allow for an increase in the number of on-street spaces available for use. This reconfiguration is considered, to use the vernacular, a "traffic calming" measure, as well as a means to support additional on-street parking in the area.
Further, beginning within 60 days, the PSC will be issuing stickers or placards that will be required for use of the PSC's designated spaces in the Arroyo/Holly Street Parking Structure. This will assure that these PSC reserved spaces are in fact being used during the designated hours only by our Members. Cars parked in those spaces without the sticker or placard may be subject to citation.
The lot immediately to the east of the PSC is for users of the PSC and Memorial Park for periods not to exceed 4 hours. We are taking steps to enhance signage describing this appropriate use. We will also begin closer monitoring of the usage and notifying parkers who are not in compliance with time limit and dedicated use restrictions.
DO NOT JAYWALK ACROSS HOLLY STREET.
It is an expensive ticket.
Need we add that it is rather dangerous as well? |

Friday Movie Matinee & Oscar© Celebration: Once
Friday May 9 at 1:30 p.m.
Join us for a free movie on Friday, May 9 when we will be showing “ Once ” (2006), winner of the Oscar© for
"Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song" for the song "Falling Slowly."
In this charming contemporary musical helmed by John Carney, a street musician (Glen Hansard) in Dublin, Ireland, strikes up a friendship with a migrant street hawker (Markéta Irglová). Over the course of a busy week, they compose, rehearse and record a series of songs that mirror the duo's burgeoning romance -- and help the young busker release his musical passions. The actors wrote the all tunes they perform, and won an Oscar for their efforts .
No reservations are necessary, just come on in and enjoy! Refreshments and popcorn will be served.

from the Motion Picture Licensing Corporation, # 12421210.
