NOW AND THEN: SPECIAL EDITION OF THE MASTERS SERIES
PRESENTED BY PASADENA SENIOR CENTER WILL BE VIRTUAL VIA ZOOM

A special edition of The Masters Series, which embraces lifelong learning and is presented by the Pasadena Senior Center, will be virtual via Zoom Tuesdays, Nov. 17 and 24, and Dec. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. and will be titled Now and Then.

  • Nov. 17 and 24 – America in 1960. This two-part presentation will highlight the culture and politics of the U.S. in 1960 – the year the Pasadena Senior Center opened.
  • Dec. 1 – Election Analysis. This will be a non-partisan analysis of the November 2020 elections.

Dr. Michael A. Genovese, professor of political science at Loyola Marymount University, will lead the online sessions. He also is director of the Institute for Leadership Studies and president of the Global Policy Institute. He is a frequent commentator on local, national and international television and radio news programs, including CNN, NPR and CBS. He occasionally does standup comedy at the Hollywood Improv Comedy Club.

The cost for the three sessions is only $38 for members of the Pasadena Senior Center and $45 for non-members.

To register, visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org and click on The Masters Series Lifelong Learning. Everyone who registers will receive email instructions for joining each of the three Zoom sessions online. For more information about The Masters Series, email AnnieL@pasadenaseniorcenter.org.

For more information about other Pasadena Senior Center programs and services, including online options for classes, events and activities during the COVID-19 pandemic, visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org or call 626-795-4331.

The center, at 85 E. Holly St., is an independent, donor-supported nonprofit organization that has been deemed an essential service provider for older adults, so its doors are open Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for social services and other critical assistance to older adults in need.
