Our Stories in Art: Diversity and Symbiosis

April – July in the Fireplace Lounge

Our Stories in Art: Diversity and Symbiosis is a series of abstract paintings by internationally respected conceptual artist Shanguo (Sam) Jia.

Two years in the making, Jia’s project focuses on experiences of immigrants who are members of the PSC Community. Engaging participants through personal interviews, the artist sought to capture an important thought from each that he used to create a series of abstract canvases using each person’s words. Each abstract canvas is paired with a video interview of the person who inspired the painting.
