Returning after a two-year hiatus, the Games will feature 15 different sports open to adults 50+. Events take place primarily in the Pasadena area in June and July. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals will be awarded in 5-year age categories for each event. Just $35 athlete fee plus events fees to enter.
We are committed to the health and safety of all participants: athletes, coaches, officials, spectators, and volunteers. We are continuing to monitor the COVID protocols required by city, state, and federal regulations, and are coordinating with our sports officials and venues regarding safety protocols for each sport. With the continually evolving COVID situation, we will wait to announce sport-by-sport requirements until we open registration. Please note that COVID safety regulations and protocols vary by city and by venue, and Pasadena Senior Games may have different requirements from other Games in California or in other states.
A note on the National Senior Games:
The 2021 National Senior Games in Ft. Lauderdale were postponed and are set for May 10-22, 2022. The qualification period for these games has closed, but NSGA is allowing open registration for the 2022 Games only, due to the ongoing disruption of local and state competitions. The 2023 National Senior Games have been announced for Pittsburg (exact dates TBA). California State qualifying events for 2023 Nationals will take place in 2022 at the San Diego Senior Games (https://www.sdseniorgames.org/) and the Encore Games in Palo Alto, hosted by Bay Area Senior Games (https://www.bayareaseniorgames.org/).
