CHINESE NEW YEAR WILL BE CELEBRATED AT PASADENA SENIOR CENTER

The Year of the Pig will be celebrated Tuesday, Jan. 29, at 10:30 a.m. at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St. Doors will open at 10:15 a.m.

The Scott Pavilion will be decorated to commemorate the Chinese Lunar New Year, and a centuries-old lion dance will be performed. Music, dancing and lunch will round out the event.

The cost is only $8 for members and $10 for non-members of the Pasadena Senior Center. Tickets may be purchased at the Welcome Desk no later than Friday. Jan. 25.

Founded in 1960, the Pasadena Senior Center is an independent nonprofit agency that offers recreational, educational, wellness and social services to people ages 50 and older in a welcoming environment. Services are also provided for frail, low-income and homebound seniors.
