Welcome to the Pasadena Senior Games, an Olympic-style multi-sport competition for adults 50+. The Pasadena Senior Center is proud to host this tradition of excellence, good sportsmanship, and opportunity that was founded by Cynthia Rosedale here in 1993.
The Pasadena Senior Games take place May – July each year at venues primarily in the San Gabriel Valley. Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are awarded in 5-year age categories for each event. Recreational as well as elite athletes are welcome, and no qualification is necessary to compete. If you are interested in time/scores of previous competitions, click on the Results tab to see past years.
We are in the process of securing venues and officials and expect to announce the complete Pasadena Senior Games schedule for 2026 by February 18, with registration opening on March 23. Please check back for more information.
Are you new to Senior Games? Welcome! Pasadena Senior Games are open to all adults 50+, and we love having first-time competitors. You do not need to be an elite athlete to compete at the Pasadena Senior Games, but you may be competing alongside elite and experienced athletes. For the safety of all, and out of respect for your fellow athletes, it is expected that every participant is familiar with the accepted rules of their chosen sport(s).
A note on the National Senior Games:
2026 is the qualifying year for the next National Senior Games, which will take place in 2027 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Qualification rules vary from sport to sport, but in most cases the top 4 finishers in each age/gender category qualify to register for Nationals. Qualifying competitions will be split between Pasadena Senior Games and San Diego Senior Games. If looking to qualify for Nationals, please make sure that the registration explicitly states that the competition is a “National Senior Games qualifier.” Northern California will also host qualifying competitions. Information as available will be posted at https://californiaseniorgames.org/
