LEARN THE HISTORY OF FOSSELMAN’S ICE CREAM WITH COMPLIMENTARY SCOOPS FOR ATTENDEES AT OCTOBER 29 EVENT
‘I scream, you scream, we ALL scream for ice cream!’ Hometown favorite Fosselman’s Ice Cream will be visiting the Pasadena Senior Center. A special sweet presentation about this local favorite ice cream purveyor will be on Tuesday, October 29 at 2:30 p.m.
The 105-year old family-owned and operated business — called ‘the Alhambra emperors of ice cream’ by the Los Angeles Times — has brought joy to generations of kids and their parents. In this special presentation at the Pasadena Senior Center, Jill Fosselman will share the history of the family business, which is now run by her husband John, along with his brother Chris. And to put the proverbial cherry on the sundae, the event will conclude with complimentary scoops of Fosselman’s finest for all attendees.
Reservations are required, and the cost for this event is only $5 for members of the Pasadena Senior Center and $8 for nonmembers. To register or for more information go to www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org/activities-events/special-events or call 626-795-4331.
John and Chris Fosselman’s grandfather, Christian Anthony Fosselman in 1919 in Iowa, originally started Fosselman’s Ice Cream. For more than 100 years, Fosselman’s has delighted taste buds with a simple but powerful philosophy – they hand-make the most delicious ice cream by using only the finest ingredients. Quality, consistency, and customer service are the guiding values. No preservatives are used in the development of their products.
The Pasadena Senior Center’s mission is to improve the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, fitness programs, basic support and needs services, education, volunteerism and community activism. With 10,000 Americans per day becoming older adults, the center is a leader in addressing issues of aging and provides innovative, cutting-edge, nationally recognized programs for this population group.
As a donor-supported nonprofit, the center operates without any local, state or federal funding and provides more services to older adults than any other organization in the San Gabriel Valley. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. To learn more visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org or call 626-794-4331.
