PASADENA SENIOR CENTER AND KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS HOST WILDFIRE DISASTER RELIEF EVENT

In response to the devastating impacts of the Eaton Fire, the Pasadena Senior Center, in collaboration with the Knights of Columbus, San Gabriel Valley Chapter, is proud to announce a disaster relief distribution event scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8, from 10 AM to 4 PM at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly Street in Pasadena.

The community-driven event, designed to provide essential aid and support to families affected by the Eaton fire, will offer an array of vital resources and assistance for those filing claims. Specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Small Business Administration will be available to answer questions and guide residents through the process.

In a show of solidarity and community support, free hamburgers along with a wide assortment of items will be distributed to impacted families. Essential goods such as blankets, clothing, flavored drinks and juices, food items (non-perishable), small household appliances, socks, various toiletries, and incontinence items will be made available to ensure the well-being of those affected.

"There is so much need out there," said Akila Gibbs, Executive Director of the Pasadena Senior Center. "We continue to receive phone calls and requests from people seeking help. In response to this ongoing crisis, we are committed to organizing future events to benefit the families impacted by the Eaton Fire."

This initiative reflects a concerted effort to mobilize community resources and compassion to assist those in need during these trying times. The Pasadena Senior Center and the Knights of Columbus, San Gabriel Valley Chapter, stand together in support of their community, pledging continuous assistance and solidarity with those affected by the wildfires.

The event will provide a centralized location for affected families to gather, receive support, and begin the rebuilding process with the help of dedicated volunteers and community leaders.
