‘PROPERTY TAXES AND THE EATON FIRE: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW’ WORKSHOP FOR EATON FIRE-IMPACTED HOMEOWNERS

Residents of Altadena and Pasadena who were impacted by the Eaton fire are invited to attend a new workshop, “Property Taxes and the Eaton Fire: What you Need to Know,’ on Monday, Sept. 29 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center.

Presented by Los Angeles County Tax Assessor Jeff Prang, this community workshop is geared to fire-impacted homeowners who want to learn more about how the Eaton fire may affect your property taxes — whether you’re planning to rebuild your home or relocate. Mr. Prang will offer clear guidance on what changes to expect, how property assessments may shift, and what resources are available to help you navigate the process.

Whether you’re a homeowner looking for clarity or simply want to make informed decisions moving forward, this workshop is designed to support you.

Registration for the ‘Property Taxes and the Eaton Fire” workshop is requested. To register, visit pasadenaseniorcenter.org and click on Workshops under the Lectures & Classes menu. The workshop is free, and open to all. Fire victims who attend this workshop will receive a grocery card; must provide proof of fire loss.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get your questions answered and connect with others in the community facing similar challenges.

This workshop is just one of many initiatives of PSC’s Eaton Fire Community Support resources that were provided to the community within days of the devastating Eaton Fire. Additional resources to community members impacted by the fire can be found under the Resources menu on pasadenaseniorcenter.org.

For 65 years, Pasadena Senior Center’s mission has been to improve the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, fitness programs, basic support and needs services, education, volunteerism and community activism. With 10,000 Americans per day becoming older adults, the center is a leader in addressing issues of aging and provides innovative, cutting-edge, nationally recognized programs for this population group.

As a donor-supported nonprofit, the center operates without any local, state or federal funding and provides more services to older adults than any other organization in the San Gabriel Valley. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. To learn more visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org or call 626-795-4331.
