‘ROAD TO RECOVERY: INSURANCE CLAIM’ WORKSHOPS PRESENTED FOR EATON FIRE-IMPACTED HOMEOWNERS
Residents of Altadena and Pasadena who were impacted by the Eaton fire are invited to attend a new workshop, “Road to Recover: Insurance Claim,” on Oct. 3rd or 4th, both from 9:00 a.m. to noon, onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center.
Older adults impacted by the Eaton fire are invited to attend the Oct. 3 workshop, while all affected homeowners are invited to attend the Oct. 4 event.
This workshop will focus on helping wildfire survivors navigate the often-overwhelming process of completing their contents claim inventories. Attendees will receive practical guidance and tools to organize their claims more effectively and will also learn about options for negotiating insurance settlements, particularly the possibility of reaching a fair payout without having to fully itemize every lost item. The goal is to reduce stress, save time, and empower participants to make informed decisions as they work toward financial recovery. Sponsored by the Assistance League of Pasadena.
The event is free and registration is suggested. To register for either one of the ‘Road to Recovery: Insurance Claim” workshops, visit pasadenaseniorcenter.org and click on Workshops under the Lectures & Classes menu.
The “Road to Recovery: Insurance Claim” workshop is presented by United Policyholders, a non-profit whose mission is to be a trustworthy and useful information resource and a respected voice for consumers of all types of insurance across the United States.
This workshop is just one of many initiatives of PSC’s Eaton Fire Community Support resources that were provided to the community within days of the devastating Eaton Fire. Additional resources to community members impacted by the fire can be found under the Resources menu on pasadenaseniorcenter.org.
For 65 years, Pasadena Senior Center’s mission has been to improve the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, fitness programs, basic support and needs services, education, volunteerism and community activism. With 10,000 Americans per day becoming older adults, the center is a leader in addressing issues of aging and provides innovative, cutting-edge, nationally recognized programs for this population group.
As a donor-supported nonprofit, the center operates without any local, state or federal funding and provides more services to older adults than any other organization in the San Gabriel Valley. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. To learn more visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org or call 626-795-4331.
