KICK OFF BLACK HISTORY MONTH WITH COMEDY AND LAUGHTER AT THE PASADENA SENIOR CENTER ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7
Prepare your funny bone and get ready for laughter and fun with the Etta May Mumphries’ Black History Month Comedy Kick-off event onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center on Saturday, Feb. from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The afternoon comedy event features three ‘clean’ and positive veteran comedians — Etta Mae Mumphries (aka Karen Bankhead), Rev. Monty B. Sharpton (aka Lamont Bonman) and Nick Arnette — who will spin their own special funny takes on human behavior and community, with a special nod to Eaton Fire survivors.
Reservations are suggested. To register or for more information, visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org and click on Special Events, or call 626-795-4331.
Etta Mae Mumphries, known as everyone’s favorite ‘church mother’ and the Black Forrest Gump, shares ‘good, clean comedy and a presentation that keeps people feeling inspired, energized and tickled pink,’ while Rev. Monty B. Sharpton blends music, magic and hilarious clean comedy. Seasoned comedian Nick Arnette rounds out the event line-up with feel-good humor. The event is the perfect way to laugh, celebrate community and start the weekend with positivity!
