LEARN MORE ABOUT THE PASADENA SENIOR GAMES AND HOW TO REGISTER AT PASADENA SENIOR CENTER ON FRIDAY, MARCH 13

Adults 50+ can learn how they can participate in local Olympic-style sports competitions at the Pasadena Senior Center’s ‘Senior Games: Winning Never Grows Old’ presentation on Friday, March 13 at 2:00 p.m., via Zoom.

Participating in competitive sports doesn’t have an age limit — and the Pasadena Senior Games, which draws athletes from across California — encourages adults to stay fit, make friends and sometimes even set world records! Registration to participate in the Pasadena Senior Games opens on March 23 at www.pasadenseniorcenter.org.

Join hosts Olympian Anne Warner Cribbs (1960, breaststroke) and a panel of athletes as they share tips and challenges for staying competitive in mind and body through sports. To receive the Zoom link, register by visiting pasadenaseniorcenter.org, then click on Activities & Events, then Special Events.

The Pasadena Senior Games is an Olympic-style multi-sport event for adults 50+ that will take place April 26-June 28, primarily in the Pasadena area. Events include more than 15 different sports, including swimming, cycling, pickleball, track and field, running, and powerlifting. Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded in 5-year age categories for each event. There is a $45 athlete registration fee to participate.

The Pasadena Senior Center’s mission is to improve the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, fitness programs, basic support and needs services, education, volunteerism and community activism. With 10,000 Americans per day becoming older adults, the center is a leader in addressing issues of aging and provides innovative, cutting-edge, nationally recognized programs for this population group.

As a donor-supported nonprofit, the center operates without any local, state or federal funding and provides more services to older adults than any other organization in the San Gabriel Valley. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. To learn more visit www.pasadenaseniorcenter.org or call 626-795-4331.
