‘LOOKING BACK, LOOKING FORWARD’ FOCUS OF 2026 FALL MASTERS SERIES AT PASADENA SENIOR CENTER
The history and legacy of 100 year old cultural icons — including two Los Angeles landmarks — that are still important parts of local and national culture will be the focus of the three week-long ‘Looking Back, Looking Forward’ fall Master’s Series, beginning on Tuesday, October 6 and running consecutive Tuesdays through October 20 at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center.
Music historian Galen Wilkes and special guest presenters will explore the history of ragtime music — including new compositions of his own — in the October 6 session, while Cal State Fullerton Professor Andi Stein will take attendees on a tour through of the legends of Route 66 in its centennial year on October 13. The last in the series will offer a special look at the rich history of the Los Angeles Public Library and its iconic 1925 Central Library building, with the library’s photo curator Christina Rice on October 20.
To attend all three lectures, tuition is just $45 for members and $50 for non-members. Individual lecture tickets may be purchased for only $18 for members and $20 for non-members. The lectures are in-person and will not be recorded. Reservations are suggestions and tickets will be available at the door.
The Pasadena Senior Center’s mission is to improve the lives of older adults through caring service with opportunities for social interaction, fitness programs, basic support and needs services, education, volunteerism and community activism.
