FEBRUARY MOVIES AT PASADENA SENIOR CENTER FOR MEMBERS AND GUESTS
Friday movie matinees will be shown Feb. 4 to 25 at 1 p.m. onsite at the Pasadena Senior Center, 85 E. Holly St.
Seating will be limited and reservations will be required on a first-come, first-served basis. Each member of the Pasadena Senior Center may reserve one additional seat for a nonmember guest. COVID protocols are observed for all onsite events and activities at the center.
"As Good as It Gets" (1997, PG) starring Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt – Friday, Feb 4, at 1 p.m. A waitress with a chronically ill son, a homophobic and obsessive-compulsive author and a gay artist form an unlikely friendship after the artist is assaulted and nearly killed during a robbery.
"Get On Up" (2014, PG-13) starring Chadwick Boseman and Dan Aykroyd – Friday, Feb. 11, at 1 p.m. James Brown rose from extreme poverty to become one of the most influential musicians in American history.
"Think Like a Man" (2012, PG-13) starring Gabrielle Union and Kevin Hart – Friday, Feb. 18, at 1 p.m. When they discover the women in their lives have been using Steve Harvey's relationship advice against them, four friends conspire to turn the tables on them.
"Ali" (2001, R) starring Will Smith and Jamie Foxx – Friday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m. More than any other athlete and heavyweight champion in history, Muhammad Ali changed the sport of boxing amid triumphs and controversies.

In addition to onsite as well as online activities, members and nonmembers are encouraged to visit the website regularly for COVID updates for older adults and other timely information, a monthly magazine, ongoing activities throughout the year and more.
The center, at 85 E. Holly St., is an independent, donor-supported nonprofit organization that has served older adults for more than 60 years. During the pandemic, doors are open Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for social services and other critical services for older adults in need, as well as limited occupancy in the library, fitness center and computer lab. Masks and social distancing are required. Rooms are sanitized after each use.
In accordance with Los Angeles County Public Health Department guidelines, proof of COVID vaccination is required for everyone who uses the fitness center or attends onsite activities indoors.
