GREAT SHORT STORIES IS THEME OF THE NEXT MASTERS SERIES
HOSTED BY PASADENA SENIOR CENTER OCTOBER 11 TO NOVEMBER 1
The theme for the next term of The Masters Series presented by the Pasadena Senior Center will be Great Short Stories Tuesdays, Oct. 11, 18, 25 and Nov. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. via Zoom
The four-week series, which embraces lifelong learning, will feature short stories brought to life with dramatic readings by professional actors. Each reading will be followed by an in-depth exploration of the short story’s origin, themes, characters and impact. It is not necessary for participants to read the stories in advance.
Beverly Olevin, director, playwright, teacher and award-winning novelist, will present the weekly, interactive classes:
Oct. 11 – Science fiction and its real-life impact on the future
Oct 18 – Modern stories by women authors
Oct. 25 – Action and adversaries
Nov. 1 – Moral dilemmas
The cost for the four-week course is only $50 for members of the Pasadena Senior Center and $60 for nonmembers.
